CRITERIA FOR NOMINATION


Nomination for the Top Doctor Award follows one of two distinguished paths:


Community Impact: The nominee must have a proven record of commitment to their patients and community, providing compassionate care, building trust, and making a positive, lasting difference in their local health environment.


Medical Innovation: The nominee must drive transformative progress in the healthcare field, whether through pioneering research, advancing technologies, or shaping policy that elevates healthcare for all.


To be considered for a Top Doctor Award, nominations should include the following information:

Geographic region

Please specify the primary city or region where the nominee practices (e.g., Tampa, Phoenix, Dallas).



Awards may be recognized by market or region, such as Tampa Top Doctor of the Year.

Medical specialty

Please identify the nominee’s primary area of practice or expertise (e.g., Dentistry, Orthopedics, Family Medicine, Gastroenterology, General Practice, etc.).


Nominees may be considered within one or multiple specialties.

Professional distinction

Please outline the nominee’s accomplishments, contributions, or impact within their field. This may include:

  • Advancements in patient care
  • Clinical excellence
  • Leadership within the profession
  • Research or innovation
  • Community or volunteer service
  • Longstanding service and dedication
  • Entrepreneurial ventures that positively support healthcare or wellness

Testimonials & supporting information

Nominations should include positive patient feedback, peer recognition, or other supporting testimonials where available.


Selected nominees may be invited to participate in a brief interview (approximately 30–45 minutes) as part of the review process. Finalists may also be asked to provide professional photos, media assets, or additional background information.

Event experience

& participation terms

Multi-day events typically begin with a charity golf tournament on the first day, raising funds for Veterans (donation fee: $297). Participants will also have the opportunity to win a cash prize, a car, and other awards, which may vary by event.


Event Schedule:


Day One: A networking reception in the evening to welcome attendees and provide an opportunity to connect and socialize.


Day Two: A full day of specialized educational training for doctors, followed by a gala dinner and awards ceremony, including photography and press coverage. Award recipients are encouraged to bring partners, family, and friends, and may reserve a table. A per-person fee applies to all dinner attendees.


Day Three: A late start, followed by additional educational sessions and presentations.

Doctors may also nominate their office manager for a special award.
